Heart of a Warrior is a documentary for a series called WABANAAGIG III - Land of the Rising Sun produced for APTN, the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network. There are thirteen shows in the series which began broadcasting in late 2013. Heart of a Warrior highlights the personal struggle of Bridgett Stevens a Mi'kmaq woman from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia who came from a background of substance abuse to become one of Canada's best female boxers and now a role model for her community.
